It only belongs on Mt. Otis, RMNP!
Please see my attorney... ;)

Comments: The "Thrill Tower", and the route "The Thrill's Not Gone…"
is a tribute to our dear friend Wayne Crill (AKA Dr.Thrill)
who has had a terrible climbing accident one year ago.
Pull hard, Wayne!

Comments: A BIG thanks to all the help at this little area.
Belaying, scrubbing, stabilizing, trundling, beer drinking, more belaying. . . .

Liz Donley, Andy Morgan, Jason Maurer, and Alton Richardson. Cheers for creekside fun!

Nothing better than climbing a moderate trad route directly over the raging Boulder Creek during this spring/summer snowmelt time.

Comments: Very fun crack and face climbing.
Rock is of good quality!

;D The name is funny… It depends how you look at it!
Either a trad line, and that's all that is left of this sport.
Or a route that happens to be left of the sport route!

Comments: This would be our route.. (Cory Fleagle & Liz Donley)

Done over Xmas 2013 5.8 R Walk off right.

We called it the Jay Smith Appreciation Route.

We had been reading about our friend (Jay) in the guide book, and about his
bold boltless ascents… You walk up, look at it, and climb it...

I was livin' it up in Bishop CA eating 3 catered meals a day, all while you were up there hoping the runouts didn't turn you into a catered rock meal. ;)

Comments: This route also can be climbed without the roofs.

Start up Devo, branch right on 1st obvious crack heading out to arete. Climb arete, and pull overhang/crack/flake/lichen straight above.

I have a tree and rock anchored with cord/biners for lowering.

5.8 WAC Arete (what we called this before knowing it had been climbed with the roofs out on the right sides of the arete).

Comments: Go for it, slim! I bet you can even clip the 2nd bolt when the
1st one is at your waist. Technically, that would be a top rope
(otherwise known as a safety bend).

But I have to ask, did I scare you, or Thom, or both? ;D

Comments: Been camping here for years, doing this as a highball boulder problem.
If you put a pad under it, I don't even think you could get hurt!

You can stand on the ground and clip the first one? Bad form for Vedauwoo... no route should have a bolt that you can clip from the start without leaving the ground.

Comments: There is another route on this wall to the left of orange you lichen it.

The other climb (not sure who did it) goes up face with three bolts,
then goes to trad out some small overhangs. At the top, there is a one bolt anchor. You can back it up with a cam, then scramble right to my anchors to descend, or walk off top.

This climb is 5.10ish.

Comments: This line has been soloed up since last summer.... Wayne Crill may be the man who has done it first. Although people have probably have been climbing it for many years.

We use it on our after work 5 @ 5 (2nd, Flatironette, Spy, 1st, Sunset Flatironette).

Don't let the idiots, that don't know how to have fun, change what you are or are not allowed to do.

I got my ballot in the mail. It is so easy, crack open a beer, sit on the couch, drink, fill in appropriate squares, drink, did your part!
