Comments: Awesome!! There is a lot of rock in this area. Matt and I looked at this a long time ago, never tried it.

Comments: I have now arrived at my theory as to what happened both to the route and the MP description. This was very entertaining. I hope the route is half that entertaining when I make it up there again!

Comments: Talked with Peter, his line Kine Bud starts on low right and climbs the block, V6. Different from this one.

Comments: Thanks Burt! Yeah there are a few no-fall spots on this route, the worst of which is the crux sequence until the next gear is placed (the highest pieces in this photo). Really fun movement, and a nice addition if you are in the area.

Comments: I'll belay you Remo! There are a few more routes here I'd like to do. Your line is great, super fun moves over the roofs, nice eye finding this one. As others have mentioned, specifically for Cookie Cutter, the rock isn't the best but with more traffic it should clean up some.

This climb should be called Cookie Monster!

Comments: Definite heads up lead, a fall at the crux might leave your partner carrying you down. Glad Matt didn't have to carry me down. I'm sure he is too. :)

Comments: Yes! This boulder is really cool and I'm glad you added some problems. Peter did some hard stuff on here and hopefully will update.

Comments: The dipster was more like the dripster, as in soaking wet on Saturday. Even dippy was pretty wet. Great route though!

Comments: I bouldered this and called it Slabracadabra which I thought quite clever but it was pointed out that it is listed as 5.11a "variation" to a 5.10b climb that uses the arete called "I see the Bucket" at the "West Post" crag.

Thanks Terry for pointing that out. Cool problem and neat little crag.

Comments: Totally! I missed that -- hard for me to imagine roping up for these! This arete is not listed but some others are. I'll update. Thanks.

Comments: Whoa. That's crazy. Yeah the left cracks were difficult and tricky to protect. I've now done it both ways and the way outlined here in red is preferable...

Comments: Yeah Doug I think the 2004 photo was from further out, like on Turk's Head, and I took the 2012 one and it was from the top of Queen's or thereabouts. So yes, different angle. But still some difference in tree height, which to me still seems kinda odd.

Comments: Did upper D as well for the first time in like 7 years and even though it's quite a bit longer and supposedly harder it felt way more casual than lower D, FWIW.

Comments: I was never really worried about the gear on chicago, but I didn't feel like anything I placed on the first half of this route was a great placement -- I kept thinking of Tommy D in the DLFA film "you just didn't really want to fall on any of that stuff". Took so long fiddling with each piece that I was good and pumped by the crux sequence. A nice route anyway.

Comments: This is definitely still Cleo's needle. What doesn't make sense is the lack of tree coverage. If the last glaciers came 12,000 years ago and this valley was actually spared from glaciation, why were there no trees? Take a look at any present day photo of Cleos and the trees are almost up to the summit block. Even 10-15 years ago they were a lot shorter. Look at 2012 versus 2004.
