Comments: Notice the two trees, both of which have now met untimely ends.

Comments: I saw this yesterday - very very sad to see the tree lying on the ground, and if as you say someone pushed it over just to get to a boulder problem, that is the wrong precedence to set, as living things are more important than our egos. The whole area seems a little barren and depressing now. If the poor tree has to go I would suggest cutting it up for firewood, including the stump, as that's an ankle roller for the Mozart's Traverse.

Comments: Seems like some pruning might be in order - but not cutting it down.

Comments: I climbed a route on the north face once after a camp on the left hand of the northern low angle ridges. It was perhaps May of 1986, with a colossal sow covering.

Comments: Route follows ridgeline to the right of the small snow patch 2/3 of the way to the summit.

Comments: I must confess I have only done the descent three times - I have never rappelled and can't remember it being hard - just needing some route-finding.

Comments: A fun route, if broken in areas, the final pitch dumps you (literally) on a narrow ridge with outstanding views. The summit block is not for the faint-hearted.

Comments: The barely there North Couloir can be see as a diagonal snow chute running from left to right.
