Comments: In the world of bouldering, I would say that's a different line but shares a hold with Kerosine. Kerosine starts just to your right, goes up right first, then big move w/ left (to the hold you grab with your right), then to a crimp out right and up right to the dish and mantel. I would consider it a variation or a new line and you should add it to MP. Thanks for sharing bud!

Comments: Thanks John... been there done that. And I totally and respectfully disagree with you, as someone who served on the board. There is zero interest in managing the property from an ecological perspective. And the bylaws could be interpreted and even amended if the will was there in order to provision the use of climbing equipment for conservation purposes. As you said... by laws could make some things difficult, but not out of question or impossible. The problem is you have a few bad apples holdin... more >>

Comments: The RMF board doesnt care about environmental impact of climbing, at least not enough to do anything about it. A few idiots and a broken ethic.

Comments: Hahahaha... you made me laugh thnx man. I was kinda like really only two stars??

I think one could stay on route and place gear, i just don't think you could fall on the upper half of the route. Did you lead Black Orchid? That could be a first lead for that route.

Comments: Looks like you got the SA Chris? Did you send on TR or on Lead? Surprised you think its only 11c/d... the move around the corner at the undercling and subsequent compression sequence always felt a harder then 11+.

I've always though that you could probably get some cams in Cary's Corner on the lower section. But what would you do to protect the top half of the route? Falling at the crux move around the corner wld lead to a large swinging fall into the left wall. Falling beyond that point, I wo... more >>

Comments: Just a warning... the power lines host massive tick populations and we stopped going in that way all together as we weren't excited about pulling 10+ ticks off us per visit.

It is also significantly longer if you are trying to get to the west side and you also miss some good bouldering between bald rock and the basin.

Comments: Awesome. Ya there was some discussion about which wall to place the bolts. There were several factors that lead to us placing them on the left wall. One was the right wall has sections of very questionable rock while the left wall is solid the whole way up. Second, was if they were on the right slab you would be taking falls onto the slab which is generally not preferred. One's preference of where they should be prob depends a bit on what technique is used to climb. We would like to have a bolt ... more >>

Comments: Found a whole lot of tick marks on this on Sunday... This is a closed project. If you want an open project... the left wall of Crack Rock corner is an open project. Please respect my request or I will stop posting new areas on MP.
