Comments: Is the first bolt still missing on this? I put it in with a rawl five piece so it may or may not be able to be replaced using the same hole.

I'd fix it myself but live 200 miles away. If someone local is willing to do te replacement, I'm happy to sent a bolt and hanger to them.

Reply here or send me a pm.

It's a good route; sucks if people are not climbing it because of the missing hanger.
Thanks.
Pete

Comments: I don't really have a strong feeling about carving names into small rocks at the base. It's way better than carving it into the wall. I'd bet if you picked up the desert vaurnet Rock and threw it down the hill as hard as you can no one would ever have known it was there. These little blocks at the base of routes were essentially mountain project before the Internet.

Comments: Good and pumpy route. Really nice pitch to climb past the anchor and clip 5.9 green bolts to the upper anchor. Hit it up now while it's chalked/ticked so you don't waste too much energy deciding which holds to use. There's good feet if you don't forget to use them. The cobbles here have more friction than maple canyon.

Follow it up this pitch with a lead on Sloppy Second for a nice choss guzzle with a cool top ou... more >>

Comments: Thanks for checking it out and helping to clean up some of the looseness. Sorry you didn't like the routes. The harder routes are harder.

Comments: Sounds like you've got a dull drill bit. In hard stone a few holes per bit is reasonable.

Comments: Fun route. Like blown glass, there's air bubble holes all over that form sweet pockets not usually seen in BCC.

For those calling this and .11. . . Go take some practice laps on This

And harden the f@:0( up.

Ha ha just kidding. It felt good to clip the first bolt.

Nice route. Thanks for the bolts to clip.

Comments: It's been a while since I was there (like a decade) but i thought there was an established parking area and blazing new trails into the desert was kind of forbidden. Most people camp by the upper sandcove or lower sandcove reservoirs nearby. I can't imagine "getting a run at it" with your burly 4wd vehicle left no trace on the way out.
