Weyerhaeuser, the private timber company that owns the Callahans climbing area in Southwest Oregon, recently issued a new, non-motorized permit system, allowing climbers to regain access to the Callahans later this summer. Comments: The old chairlift is too far...if you park at the old chairlift/sledding hill and walk back towards Devil's Chair, you can see a clump of cedar trees hiding the crag. I went back when there was a lot of snow and most of the ice was buried.
