Comments: Be aware of the private property issues here. The landowner is currently (Jan 2010) filing criminal trespass complaints and climbers are being cited for trespassing by the Durango police department. Even if you believe you are following the boundary of the private property, the landowner is claiming ownership of the falls itself, contrary to the forest/private boundaries indicated on topographical maps. Comments: Do it for the simul-rap, not the climb. It is a fun little side trip, as Todd says, if you have a couple of hours to burn. There is also a decent anchor w/ slings if you are doing it solo.

Comments: Motherload area is 100 yards or so past the Forest Service Gate (from the beta photo) on the left, near the trashed burned-out Pontiac. There is a great boulder (House Boulder) on the right side of the road, across from the Motherload area. There are also a few good boulders down the same road and to the left, one of which is Whale Rock or something.
