Comments: First pitch is a pile by Spain's standards. Skip the first set of chains and climb the second pitch it is full value and not to be missed. Super good and a sandbag at 7b.

Comments: Power endurance! Get your pinch strength in shape for this bouldery, technical gem. Starts with a 30 ft. V7 to a quick shake, followed by another 20 ft. of thechy power endurance to a rest. The remaining 20 ft is no harder than 11+ but.... you'll be in good company if you blow it going to the chains. If you like this sort of route it's a must do in the canyon.

Comments: In reference to my previous comment, in regards to Fraidline... after speaking with Steve Levin, like many people, I cut out left up high to meet with the finish of "Surf's Up" once the horizontal is reached. He suggested that Topher went straight up the face, and he speculated that it may be another 12c crux, still running it out over the RPs.

Comments: Don't Rap the wide pitch!! It will eat your rope. Fortunately there was a fixed line there (thank you). At first we saw the rope on the way up and said "WTF?" After getting our ropes stuck on the way down there was a resounding "DUH!!" then I figured out how to get it unstuck without cutting it and my partner used the fixed line. ( yes, there are several pieces of cut ropes -stuck there...hence the "D... more >>

Comments: Pitch 9 Variation?

My partner and I climbed this mega classic in October, our first time. At the end of pitch 8 we looked up and a little left to see what looked like a finger crack in a dihedral that took a straight line up to the ledge, we climbed it. The crack was untouched and covered in lichen both inside and out. There are a couple of small vegetables that are easy to climb around or remove and there was no signs of it being climbed (no piton scars, lichen 100% intact), about 80' lat... more >>

Comments: Really good route! Climbs super well. Another sustained techy finish, delightfully challenging and techy...you need to know how to rock climb for this one. Thanks, Darek and Chris.

Comments: One of the best pitches around Boulder. Either Fraidline is 12+ or Freeline is 13b. They can't be the same grade, there is a letter grade between the two.

Comments: I linked this one from Practice Climb, clipped a long runner to that anchor, and had no issues with rope drag. This link also makes for a super good pitch. The tree is still doing just fine as of now.

Comments: Linked this from Cro-Magnon, and it made for a great 5.10 link-up, although you want to be solid at the grade. The opening crux moves are harder than 5.9. It would make sense to me that, as stated above, something may have broken. At the very least, the move is now solid 5.10.

The other comment that caught my attention was the jug you grab to exit the crux being loose. It is loose and is about to pull off. When I grabbed it...it pulled off just a touch, and I'm not talking about flexing. The... more >>

Comments: Did this today with Teo Mavis. I agree with mountainhick...you want to be solid at the grade on this pitch.

We linked this into Ginseng Junkie, and it made for a fantastic .10a link-up, although Ginseng Junkie has a lot of loose rock, and if any of it pulled, it would potentially drop into parties on Gambit. That being said, it is a fun, rope stretching pitch (Ginseng) to the top.

Comments: HA! I guess I'll note that Paul said he doesn't like slabs...and he frequently climbs barefoot.

The only thing wrong with this route is that there isn't more of it. This is a great little route up a gorgeous lichen covered face with engaging technical moves. Well worth doing.
