Comments: Flake at 1st belay is pretty hollow but will take small cams well, there is a solid red tri-cam placement in a brow on the left face of the corner plus the route eats gear from the ledge up for 20' so just put something in to protect the anchor. Shouldn't have to worry about falling. It's like 5.3 until you get near the top.

Comments: Climbed on 7/22. Starting this route late any day this week was iffy for rain. Climbed up talus to an awesome bivy ledge the night before. Rained about 15min then perfect stary night. Started climbing just after 6 and reached the summit by 9:50. Back at Glacier Gorge parking by 1. Very crowded trail. We were the only ones on the route. Awesome climb!
ShawnB - buy a map and learn how to use it. The FU lake is mirror lake.

Comments: Ha Ha. That video is nice but the wrong Silk Road.
I climbed SR 2 years ago. It was thin but fun. Much thinner than the tr on here. The start along the side of the big boulder is tricky with crampons and ice tools but after that it's nice up to the tiny cicle crux. If you shorten the 3rd pitch then both the 2nd and 3rd have great belays tucked back under a ridge. Good pro slinging the tree. Used a few cams and a nut or two for the whole route. After the crux, we went left to the large ledge and... more >>

Comments: Anyone lose a pair of Mammut shoes off the 1st around 10/25? Rapped off and was hiking around the side when I saw one laying next to the little overlook. Found the other a few feet from it. Looked kinda like someone was doing a scramble down the side of the Flatiron and lost them??
