Comments: Wasn't sure where to add this information, but I just wanted to give a tip of the hat to some folks who helped out with freeing this route but weren't there for the FFA. First, Brad Heller was the guy with the vision to try and free this line in the first place. And Jason Klophaus was there on another attempt when it almost went free. Thanks, guys! -Ari M.

Comments: Psyched on this route and even more so for others to try it out.

I'm thinking of adding a bolt after the 5.12 crux (5.9 R-ish) and right below the summit (5.7R), and would welcome feedback about whether this would improve the experience.

Thanks,

Ari Menitove

Comments: I got to toprope this route a few times while Brad was working it. While I didn't even get the "brownpoint", I managed to do all the moves and it is indeed as good as Brad says. I just wish I was good enough to lead it!

Just a few words of advice to aspiring suitors:

Prepare to execute the three crux sections on this route while leaving your gear off behind you. You definitely want your belayer to be attentive so you don't get spiked into corners or splatted onto slabs.

Comments: Outstanding route! Despite a little grit and awkwardness, the first pitch is really good. The second pitch is even better - kind of like Split Fingers (Beckeys Wall Area) with training wheels.

Comments: Good route. Remarkably clean for how infrequently I am assuming that it gets climbed. We brought a single set of cams from #3 - #5 BD, and there would have been way fewer shenanigans involving downclimbing and back-cleaning if we would have had 2 #3 BD's and 2 #4 BDs. And we definitely used the #5 BD, too.

Comments: Fun route. Indeed, as it continues to clean up with traffic, it is just going to get better. It was a little tricky for us to find exactly where the route begins. It starts in a left facing corner with a clean crack. If you look up about 70 feet, you can see an unusually rectangular roof with a black spot near its center. Just above and right of this roof is a triangular tiered roof feature formed by two intersecting seams. Hope that helps.

Comments: Wow! What a route! The crux pitch has great moves the whole way. Josh's description is right on the money.

Comments: Awesome route! You can do the tricky 5.10+/11- on P1 with decent (but thin) pro at your knees if you put a #2 stopper (or thereabouts) in a pin scar.
