Environmental Education

• 6 years environmental /adventure education experience resulting in more than 200 days in the field.
• Outdoor Adventure Center: Responsibilities consisted of planning trips and budgets and facilitating trip curriculum with minimal supervision. 13 total trips.
• Thompson Island Outward Bound: Accountable for creating and implementing curriculum and trip itinerary for 12-13 year old boys on a 2 week sailing and backpacking expedition in the Northeast with a focus on environmental stewardship and diversity.
• REI Outdoor School: Instructed a large variety of introductory courses to a diverse population. Activities included navigation, biking, sea kayaking, rock climbing. This position required knowledge in a wide variety of disciplines, which was challenging and exciting.
• •Rock Spot Climbing: As the Gym Manager my responsibilities include the safe operation of the climbing facility at all times, hiring, training and managing staff/volunteers, performing weekly deposits, instructing lessons, as well as head outdoor guide.
• Experience as a proficient facilitator in the following activities: high ropes/teambuilding initiatives, rock climbing (technique, anchor building), ice climbing, backpacking, canyoneering, rappelling, mountain biking, road cycling, sailing, sea kayaking and navigation (Compass, GPS)

• Created budgets for 13 Ohio State Outdoor Adventure Center trips that produced profits
• Squad leader for 10 soldiers in the Ohio Army National Guard
