Comments: I thought this was much harder than 10b (normally I onsight 10+, and I took a fall on this). I would say solid 10- to the first bolt (which makes it PG13 in my book), then powerful 10+ for the crux. Maybe some holds broke? Or I was having a bad day.

Comments: Guidebook shows this starting on the right, along with Bread Line. If you go that way, it makes it 5.8 (after the start, it's easy 5.7 at best, but nice climbing). I didn't do the variation starting from the left.

Comments: Have your belayer wear a helmet on this - There were some looser sections, one of which released a 2" rock for me.

Comments: If, like us, you didn't bring gear, you can easily swing over from the Cinderella anchor to set a TR.

Comments: Route goes up/right to third bolt, then up/left to 4th bolt, before joining the adjacent route.

Comments: Crux move is probably that that gets you into position to clip the last bolt, at which point the previous bolt is well beneath you. You'll want to be solid at the grade.

Comments: Rock quality makes this the worst climb on the cliff. Likely would clean up a bit with more ascents. Climbing itself is fine.

Comments: Thought this was the best route on the wall: dike, face, crack, up the most obvious line.

Comments: Think bolts were fine on this. Crux moves well protected.

Comments: Re all the comments on bolt placement, I found the following:
  • Bolt 6: I put a long sling on it, as suggested. Will take others word that anything shorter would result in drag.
  • Bolt 7: Not the best placement, you have a good hold, but you're in the middle of the overhang; its a strenuous position, with bad fall potential onto the slab below if you blow the clip.
  • Bolt 8: Positioned badly. The bolt biner spine will be badly loaded over a lump in the rock if you fall. I threw an extra (lon...

Comments: Its no harder than 5.8. Crux move is probably in the dihedral where you have a stem on smaller holds, but you have absolutely bomber hand jams available.

Comments: Think this deserves an R rating. If you blow the first (hardest) move to the bolt, you're going to get at least pretty banged up. There are more 5.7 moves to the second bolt, and if you blow the moves getting to it, you'll probably deck - broken bones for sure. Consistent 40+ foot runouts for the rest of the route, although it gets easier the higher you go.
