Time is a Disaster

Hello folks!

I recently had the pleasure to add two new routes to this area. I contacted Thorbjørn Enevold, coauthor of the rockfax guidebook, and he believed them to be new routes, too. I am not sure how to add routes but o the data base, but a detailed description is below. I will be out of communication for the next month, but can reply after that. Thanks for your time!

Alan

The two routes are located in the Time is a Disaster area, between Hamlet Wall and the Miggan Pillar Area.

1.) Rally English, N6 FA: Alan Goldbetter, Emily Wetzel 17-09-2017
Two hundred meters to the right of the route Time is a Disaster is an obvious, large cave. The right arete that forms the cave (but not inside of it) is home to a very prominent wide crack. P1: Start by climbing the grassy slab to the base of the roof. Pull over the roof and continue up the crack to a ledge and a stance. There is a rappel anchor (two nuts) here. 30m. P2: Climb the flake and left-facing corner on the right side of the ledge until corner ends and you can move right, around the corner, and to a ledge/stance. 7m. P3: Climb the dirty, grassy ramp up and right until reaching a tree with rappel slings beneath a small overhang. Rappel from here to ground (1x60m).

I believe the first pitch is two stars. It would be three if not for the grassy start. The crack itself is excellent and not quite as hard as it looks. Bring cams in the #3-#5 size range. P2 is one star and P3 is terrible. I would recommend that people just climb P1 and lower from the station there.

2.) Dragster 3000, N6- FA: Alan Goldbetter, Arno Viitaniemi 19-09-2017
On the right side of the large arete is a wall that host a broken, left-leaning crack system. P1: Climb/scramble up to the large grassy ledge beneath the start of the route (grade 4). 15m. P2: Climb the crack and block system up and left to and small ledge and slabbier ground. 30m. Rappel from small trees to ground (1x 45m).
