City Dweller (Cellar Dweller)
Apr 15, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. With Al and Jay. Awesome route. Thoughtful, techy, balancey, sustained, so much fun. A lot of pinches and thumb catches, pushing with feet and switching hips. Lots of fingery holds that are barely holds. Was pretty on the whole time.

Unknown
Apr 15, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. With Al, Jay, and Elijah. Jay led, unknown grade when he led it, kinda bold. Hard start, prob 10+\11-, very prickly and sharp, awkward holds, gets easier above. Good intro to the rock I think, just place your fingers and they stick.

Ginger Cracks
Apr 14, 2024 · 2 pitches. Lead / Onsight. With Al. Jay and Elijah were to do Unimpeachable, they bailed early, luckily. I led p1, Al led p2. P2 was so hard and heady at the stem section, there were swallows nesting in the crack and were dive bombing Al. Bailed after the 2nd. Freak storm rolled in with sleet and rain, we got off just in time for the heavy rain, got completely soaked on the hike out, made for an awesome time, stoke was high and hands were numb. Such vibrant desert colors in the rain, amazing views and photos all around. Again, a very memorable day. This trip was a good one.

Tunnel Vision
Apr 13, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. With Al and Jay. I led 1 & 3, Al led 2 & 5, Jay led 4 & 6. P3 was heady, had to turn it on. I shimmied up the chimney until I could get a janky nut, then stepped on the face, very heady, no gear in sight but was able to find some offset pieces. The tunnel was also a heady lead, no gear and slippery rock, Al did well to lead it. Jay led last pitch and went to the top instead of exiting left, created a mini epic for us with rope drag for Al and pseudo free soloing for me in super strong winds. Made it safe luckily. Mini birthday celebration at the top thanks to Al and Jay. Hiked out in the dark. Very memorable day, appreciate both these guys, good vibes all around.

Triassic Sands
Apr 12, 2024 · 5 pitches. Lead / Onsight. W Al. I linked p1+p2, Al led p3 & p4. P2 crux took it out of me, was gassed and couldn’t enjoy the awesome climbing above. Upper p2 & p3 are wonderful chill hand cracks. P4 was cruxy, thoughtful, and diverse, hard. We kinda got lost on the last pitches? No idea, adventuring around, had to pull a hard bouldery crack at the top. Great climb, classic for sure. Was quite windy, blowing me around, made it feel epic. Hiked out in the dark, got beers from party above us in the parking lot, they crowded us at the belay for a fun time, Soy was memorable. Twas a wonderful day all around.
