Description
“Action Jackson" is established in memory of Dick Jackson (1950–2025), a legendary Aspen and US mountain guide and the founder of Aspen Expeditions. It is called Action Jackson, because there were times when Dick could not sit still.
Note: this is a second pitch or an extension to the lower routes.
Climb a few moves up and left on flakes until you can reach right and clip a bolt.
Make committing moves right on jugs following the bolts up and right through mostly jugs to a balancy anchor clip.
A healthy 60m rope barely makes the ground. It is no problem with a 70m rope. KNOT THE END OF YOUR ROPE!
Location
Climb one of four options to the chain anchors on top of pitch 1 of "Twin Cracks." Belay there or link directly from the ground for a 31m 5.10 pitch.
Protection
4 bolts and loweroff anchors. A healthy 60m rope or a 70m rope gets you to the ground in 1 lower or do a double lower from the Twin Cracks anchor.
