Access Issue: Private Property
Details
Climbing at Cascade Canyon is on private property, not US Forest Service land. Climbing on private land is a privilege - please leave no trace and remind other visitors to treat the area with respect.
Description
Mountain Spirit has a lot of moves for a short route.
Eric Dixon and myself bolted this route in 2025 in memory of our dear friend, Kurt Blair.
This summer in 2026 we teamed up with Kurt's son Galen, who ended up figuring out some key beta and worked towards the first ascent.
We felt Kurt's "mountain spirit" with us the entire way. We love you and miss you, Kurt.
Note: we are working on a 4 or 5 bolt extension as well. I will post it up when that is done.
