Description Suggest change

Varied climbing with some very thin face moves on vertical rock. An easier initial move to pull over a small roof leads to a large ledge and a thought-provoking face climb up and slightly left with small holds. This eventually leads to another pull up onto a second ledge and then some thin slab climbing angling up and slightly right. Holds get better as the difficulty backs off at the top.

Location Suggest change

Directly above Wandering Dike pitch 6, nearly linking Wandering Dike pitch six to Welcome to Manning Crevice Pitch 5.

In addition to being a climbing pitch, this may also provide the best rappel route for Welcome to Manning Crevice and Callisto. From Welcome to Manning Crevice pitch 5, traverse right across the ledge about 15 feet to reach the Wandering Welcome anchors. From there the rappels are essentially straight down to Wandering Dike Pitch 6, Pitch 5, Pitch 3, Pitch 2, to chockstone (or ground if you have a 70m rope). This is probably better than rappelling Welcome to Manning Crevice which is a very traversing rappel.

Protection Suggest change

11 stainless 3/8 inch 5-piece bolts.
Tebylon rap anchors
