Note that the annual closures of the Park View Dome, The Ranch Hand, Black Creek Wall, and Sawmill Crag have been permanently lifted. These cliffs will continue to be monitored, but will only close if a new nest is spotted.
Description
A DAD "Another Day At the Dungeon" is a bouldery route with multiple cruxes separated by a nice ledge rest in the middle.
Begin with the hardest crux on the route getting past the first and second bolt, and then climb directly into a fun and challenging compression boulder problem leading up and right past the third and fourth bolts to arrive at a ledge. Rest up on the ledge and prepare for a physical battle up the short, overhanging section with a powerful redpoint crux before easing off with some 5.10 terrain for the last few bolts.
There is potential for a couple kneebars on this route. I wore two pads, but if you have to choose one, go with the right.
Link-up alert! There is a link-up called New Dad that starts on New Beginnings and then goes right at bolt two and is maybe around 13a. It basically just skips the first crux. Stick-clipping the second or third bolt on A DAD might be a good idea if you try this link-up.
*The final three bolts of 5.10ish terrain are still cleaning up but are safe enough to climb. I plan to make it back in the next few weeks to brush some more, but I didn't want to deprive the Dungeon community of climbing on this route until then.
