Yosemite National Park has yearly closures for Peregrine Falcon Protection March 1- July 15. Always check the NPS website at nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/… for the most current details and park alerts, and to learn more about the peregrine falcon, and how closures help it survive. This page also shares closures and warnings due to current fires, smoke, etc.
Description
Mysterious bolted route up the southwest slope of Daff Dome that appeared this summer on a line I’ve been scrambling/soloing for years. Maybe the tightest bolted route in Tuolumne and probably also the easiest multipitch established up here.
Pitch 1: up and left on knobs through a hollow section. Steepest pitch. 5.5, 9 bolts, 90ft
Pitch 2: up 20ft of runout 5.5 slab to closely bolted 5.3 knobs. 5.5, 7 bolts 90ft
Pitch 3: scramble or walk up low angle slabby knobs while clipping a few bolts. 5.0, 3 bolts 70ft
Bonus pitch 4: straight up huge knobs over the short headwall to easier ground. 5.4, no bolts
