Description Suggest change

This route follows the prominent dike just right of Homicidal Maniac and Kim Jung Il.  Not for the faint of heart, Asylum is a long pitch following a cool feature up a long section of the Barber Wall.  Surprisingly good gear but in somewhat worrying rock the whole way.  Begin by face climbing off a pedestal block aiming for a short right facing dihedral in orange rock.  The dihedral provides the crux and the climbing eases up afterwards, providing a long alpine feeling romp up dike rock towards the top.  When you get near the top, instead of finishing in the dike proper, move right and clip a pin and make some cool moves on good rock before topping out.  You can do this as a single pitch, but your second should follow the route, and you'll need two ropes to rappel.

Location Suggest change

Prominent orange dike just right of Kim Jung Il.  Left of Lichen Delight.  Begin by stepping off of a noticeable pedestal block.

Protection Suggest change

This is a great for passive protection because your in dike rock the whole time. Bring a ton of slings, and climbing this thing with double ropes isn't a bad idea either. Otherwise, rack up to number 3, and I thought having some small wires were nice too.
