Description Suggest change

Back in the High Life is a fun boulder problem right by campsite 4…I am not sure it’s an FA but wanted to share regardless…. That said, the finger locks in the crack up high were completely filled in with moss and dirt. They felt pretty crucial to me to top out safely…you’re way up by the time you need them, and the alternative was some pretty marginal and lichen-covered crimps…. Start on the obvious jug/flake, then use a tips-y hold in the angling seam to reach some inobvious small pockets on either side of the seam about 3/4 of the way up…. Use these to deadpoint to good holds at the angle break…. Get your feet high, and reach up to good finger locks…. Top out carefully above the big thorn bush, avoiding the other big thorn bush at the top of the crack.

I would love to hear from anyone who may have climbed this before me or anyone who gets on it now…. Ithought it was a high quality problem and a fun diversion right next to the camping….

Location Suggest change

Across the road from campsite four, a little way towards the overflow parking…, look for an obvious crack in a left-facing dihedral…. This is also a fun boulder problem at like V2 or so….

Protection Suggest change

It has a flat landing. One pad sufficient to protect the crux moves, just don’t blow the top out or you’ll end up in a big, thorny bush! It is easy to check out on a TR from the big piñon tree above…. I used it to rap in and clean the upper crack and try the topout....
