Description
Begin by climbing the hand crack in the corner just right of Vanishing Act to reach a small ledge. Alternatively, you can walk around to the ledge from the Bushwhack Corridor. From the ledge, climb the well-bolted, but difficult slabby arête to join Vanishing Act at the 4th bolt (Vanishing Act’s 5th bolt). Finish on Vanishing Act. It is also a good idea to bring a single .75 cam for the obvious horizontal between the 4th and 5th (last) bolt.
We decided to name this route Mist Opportunities because when we got to Old Rag that morning, the mist was so thick the visibility was some of the lowest I’ve ever seen, and everything seemed to be soaking wet. We didn’t think we had a shot at finding dry rock, but we decided to go for a walk anyway to double-check. Worst case scenario, we were just going to look for new routes. To our surprise, when we got to the crag, the slabs were dry, and we had a great day of climbing we might have otherwise written off.
