The Thunderbolt (P-47) Suggest change

2015 Video of Will Mayo climbing The Thunderbolt (P-47).

The Thunderbolt is another link-up in the Fang Amphitheater. The Jug (the P-47's alternate nickname) climbs The Lightning (P-38), but rather than continue to the easier exit of Amphibian, it finishes via the ceiling and thin ice of the top of Red Beard. The ice is the crux.

Location Suggest change

Start on the right side of the central rectangular buttress, and climb Queen Cobra to the lip of the roof, traverse right along the lip of the roof as for The Lightning, but finish via the vertical crack and thin ice of the exit for Red Beard approximately ten feet before reaching the Amphibian exit (Red Beard is the final line of bolts left of the Amphibian exit corner).
