Description Suggest change

Qi (the working name was Ralph Macchio which kinda rolls off the tongue and never fails to make me smile so I'm keeping it here too), is a mixed line that takes the start of Karate Kid, but moves right under the hanging columns (crux) to a previously unclimbed corner.

Stick Clip the high first bolt of Karate Kid and start up Bold Line (trying not to slip off getting started). Fingertip traverse rightwards and execute lots of hard moves working upwards towards the hanging columns. Another crux wildly departs Karate Kid rightwards. Once you stand up into the hanging corner, you are rewarded with enjoyable gear-protected climbing that finishes through a final roof and on up to an independent anchor serving both this route and Karate Kid.

Location Suggest change

This confusing zone has a lot of crisscrossing lines, but in my opinion the best are Bold Line (the original route), and the newer lines Karate Kid and Qi. Qi begins on Bold Line (as does Karate Kid), climbs the lower cruxes of Karate Kid, then busts rightwards into the hanging corner. See beta photo.

Protection Suggest change

A single rack from 0.2 to 0.75 Camalot and a handful of draws. I recommend a sling on the last bolt before launching rightwards away from Karate Kid.
