Description Suggest change

An all-time steep and sustained classic South Fork Pillar when fully formed. After a decent amount of hiking and scrambling up through the left hand fork of the Illogicicle Drainage, you will enter an amphitheater with typically three ice lines. The leftmost pitch is the proud Illogicicle - a 40m WI6 pillar. Two more progressively easier pitches along with variations lie above.

Location Suggest change

The trailhead and parking area are 34.5 miles from town on the righthand side of the Southfork Rd. just before it splits with the Hunter Creek Rd. (the same parking for Schoolhouse Creek routes). From the parking area you are looking for the second drainage east (or climber's right) of the more popular and larger Schoolhouse Creek. Hike across the sagebrush, left around a small hill and head up into the main drainage. Continue up towards the left fork of this drainage. Hiking and scrambling to the climbs can take up to 2hrs for slower parties and snow conditions.
