Description Suggest change

This power endurance route follows a streak of pale yellow mudstone along an overhanging crack into steep schist and gneiss, above. A tricky start leads to a decent shake, followed by a series of undercling and layback moves, culminating in an upper boulder problem that will take everything you have left in the tank. Despite some soft rock right at the start, this route has potential to become a classic on the hillside, due to the sustained movement and variety of techniques required for the send.

Thanks to Lee Hansche for suggesting the name and giving me the positive reinforcement to dibs this one from the many climbers who could have sent it sooner but would have loved it less.

* Please be aware that mudstone is a softer rock; like sandstone it's best to give this route time to dry after a rain.

Left side of the Ruin Craig. Climbs the distinct yellow & orange streak and crack up the overhanging wall left of Historical Friction. If you come up the trail from the Diamond, this the first route you see.
