Fifth Ascent

V5, Boulder, 15 ft (5 m),  Avg: 3 from 1 vote
FA: unknown
Washington > Central-W Casca… > Skykomish Valley > Miller River Bo… > Hideout Boulders > Coexist Boulder

Description

Start low in the cave matched on a small shelf. Move up and over the bulge to top out on jugs. Really good movements including a sweet drop knee and a solid heel hook.

I saw this a month or so ago and wanted to try climbing it. The top out starting on the high jug shelf looks like it has been climbed as a warm up too easy to even put on MP, but the sit from the bottom is very solid and fun. I couldn't get it that day but 2 other stronger guys did (I asked them to put it on here but they didn't). 2 more people sent it the day of to figure out the beta with me. I'm guessing it's been climbed before but I've never seen any chalk on these starting holds. I figured I'd give it a name since seeing "unknown v5" is super boring.

Location

To the right of The Riff.
