Description Suggest change

Begins with steep but easy climbing with bolt protection (not as in ‘sport climbing’).  Belays are bolted and/or mixed piton and bolt or thread.  All good.  Second to last pitch goes up a right leaning ramp that one has to get low with a pack on.  Last pitch is a classic chimney.

Location Suggest change

From the top of the chair lift coming up the south side of Averau (chairlift starts several switchbacks south and down from Passo Giau), follow the trail down and east.  Go around the base of a buttress in front of the route in photo and then scramble back up to the base of the route. There is a  red thread, several visible bolts and a small silver plaque with first ascent information.  Additional information can be found in Mauro Bernardi’s Italian language guide book - page 244 -  called, “Dolomiti, Arrampicare a Cortina D’ Ampezzo e dintorni”.
