Warning Access Issue: SIGNIFICANT ROCK FALL CLOSURES - UPDATED Feb 29th 2024 DetailsDrop down
Warning Access Issue: Camping DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

A broken dyke immediately to the right of the black book that leads into a low angle finger crack for the last third of the route.

First two thirds are very easy, but I found the last third to be harder than the guidebook grade of 5.7

Gear is good throughout, but the crack is shallow, so protecting it might not feel straightforward.

Doable with a 60m rope, but definitely tie a stopper knot.

Protection Suggest change

Standard rack, crack at the end takes mostly small gear in the 0.2-0.4 (BD) range.

Doubles between 0.2 and 0.5 plus a selection of nuts should be enough to sew up the top section.

Location Suggest change

Immediately to the right of Black Book, the two routes share anchors.
