Yosemite National Park has yearly closures for Peregrine Falcon Protection March 1- July 15. Always check the NPS website at nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/… for the most current details and park alerts, and to learn more about the peregrine falcon, and how closures help it survive. This page also shares closures and warnings due to current fires, smoke, etc.
Description
A nice 250' of climbing leads to a band of nasty grey rock.
2 short pitches to the ledge system. P1: Step on the climber’s right tongue that protrudes from an overlap; up the grainy crack; pull a bulgy crack & step right to the obvious, left-facing corner system; follow the corner as it ascends up and left. Belay in grey rock where several crack systems come together. P2: Up the crack above and angle left; harder left when ledges appear to a belay in the prominent left facing corner system of The Knobivore. Either traverse up a little and mostly climber’s left to terra firma or continue up the corner until it is possible to climb left to the Better Than the Alternative roof..
