Description Suggest change

This route starts up blocky low-angle terrain to a ledge where you clip the first of two closely spaced bolts.  Pull through the overhang and follow the line of bolts up to the anchor.  The crux is about climbing past bolts 4 and 5.

The story of the name.  On the day of the final route cleaning we were hiking out with Martha's dog, Sprocket.  He stopped along the trail and lifted his leg to pee.  Sprocket accidentally took aim at a quiet and well-camouflaged timber rattler.  Graciously the timber rattler chose not to strike.  However, putting one's delicate parts near those vicious and venomous fangs seemed like a bit of Penis Peril!

Location Suggest change

Protection Suggest change
