Description Suggest change

This is another historic route from Dick Leonard’s old guide. He originally called it “P4” and graded it class 3, so that’s what I’m entering in here.

I did my best guess on the route based off the old description: “Into the cave at P1 at the south side.” Feel free to come up with your own interpretation, but it would also be really cool if someone actually was taught the original route!

I lowered myself in from the notch while tied in and then used the top ledge as my handholds and traversed left until reaching the little cave. Then I topped out above the cave.

In the past I imagine they might have only traversed to the cave and then traversed back or out via the P1 traverse to keep things class 3.

Location Suggest change

Starts at the slabby notch between the overhanging route and Left Face. It then traverses about 10 feet to the top of Far Left Face.

Protection Suggest change

Can be top roped with the bolted anchors but would require tossing the rope around as you traverse.
