Description Suggest change

Mainly adding for historic reasons, but feel free to try one of the oldest documented routes in the area! It was originally graded as class 3, but this was longer before the YDS existed.

I’m entirely sure if this is the correct route, but this was my best guess based off Dick Leonard’s old guide description: “Traverse under an overhang into a small cave”.

Start on the short slab left of the main face. Traverse right around the corner until you get to the small cave in the middle of Far Left Face then either top out or traverse back to the start. I used the top of the rock for my hand holds in several spots and decided to top out at the end.

I’m not sure if they would have originally topped it out or traversed back, considering that it was originally graded as class 3.

Location Suggest change

Starts on the short slab next to the trail used to access the anchors and ends at the top of Far Left Face.

Protection Suggest change

You can use the bolted anchors for Far Left Face but you’ll kind of have to walk the rope around the corner.
