Description Suggest change

Climb up into a chimney behind a black birch tree that is growing on a ledge at the bottom of the crag. Clip a bolt on the right side of the chimney and exit up to a stance on top of the pedestal of rock that forms the chimney.  Climb the face above past 2 bolts to another ledge.  Climb the cracks past fixed pro to the anchor.  Please don't clean the bomber pro!  Tope Rope Variations:  1. Climb straight up the outside of the pedestal starting from the cliffside trail.  Join the normal route at the bolted face.  2. Start on the left side of the pedestal of rock and climb up following a line up the face several feet to the left of the bolts.  Join the normal route at the final crack section.  When you lower from the anchor gravity naturally takes you more or less down this 2nd variation.

Location Suggest change

The chimney is behind a black birch just to the left of Roach Motel.  The 2nd top rope variation is just to the right of Fived Lined Skink.

Protection Suggest change

3 bolts protect the lower part of the route. The crack is protected by a red wired Black Diamond Hexentic and a set of small wired nuts joined by a quick link. DO NOT CLEAN the fixed pro, it is bomber and is supposed to stay on the route.
