The Great Hootini

5.11d, Sport, 40 ft (12 m),  Avg: 3 from 1 vote
FA: Casey Elliott
Nevada > Western Nevada > Reno Area > Owl Rock > 2. B'Owl Obstruction…

Description

Climb into the dihedral by doing a few moves and pull a few moves to get established, then work up for a few more moves in the dihedral until you can do a few more moves to the anchor. Don’t do any more moves past the anchor.

Location

The dihedral in front of the big tree, start on the pedestal.

Protection

4 bolts (second bolt is a permadraw) and shares anchors with Hoots Your Daddy? You could climb the last 10 feet to the b'owl obstruction anchors if you wanted and clip through the Hootini anchors on your way down to make the route cleaning easier, or just go to the Hootini anchors, as all the harder climbing is done at that point.
