Description Suggest change

Entirely gear protected. Varied fun movement including stemming, chimney, great handjams, and a little worming your way up. Much less slick than Nailbox and protects better.

The poison oak at the base is easily avoidable by starting on Nailbox for the first 10 feet then traversing straight left on an obvious ledge.

Rubine guide and Young 2007 guide lists this as 5.5. Both show a tree partway up which is now dead at the base. This route protects well the entire way and is safe (unless you are very allergic to poison oak).

I felt there was one move that was harder than 5.5. Potentially where the tree used to be? Either way very slept on route IMO, not difficult just good fun.

Location Suggest change

Far left side of Discovery Wall. Obvious chimney left of Nailbox Crack. Dead tree and poison oak at base.

Protection Suggest change

Standard rack, plenty of room placements to sew up though. Save a piece or two in 0.75-2 range for backing up harness belay up top.
At top you can walk off or head right to swallow crack anchors and rap with a 60m.
