Description Suggest change

Hog Wild is a well-protected climb with a nice crux section. Climb up easy, blocky terrain to the first bolt. Continue straight up encountering laybacking and delicate foot holds around the 3rd and 4th bolt crux. Beware of climbing too far left or right of the bolt line in the area between the 4th and 5th bolt, as there is a band of poorer rock quality there. Gain the apex of the ridge, and clip the same anchors as for When Pigs Fly.

Location Suggest change

It is the second from the left route on the west face of Dakota Hogsback and the second bolted route you’ll coming around the corner from the approach trail. Belay just next to When Pigs Fly.

Protection Suggest change

5 bolts to a two bolt anchor with lower off carabiners. This is the same anchor as for the route When Pigs Fly. Please do not top rope off of fixed gear; it leads to premature wear and potential sharp edges. Only use these carabiners for the last person to lower off.
