This route starts about seventy feet off the ground. Start as for Weak Stick. Rather than climbing the right facing corner of Weak Stick 5.8, step right and belay from two oversized Metolius rap bolts. From the nice belay ledge head up the right-hand crack using side wall cracks for protection. climb the slab to the left of a bushy section. 5.6 r. Step left after gaining a small foot ledge and follow the right-facing corner to a chain anchor. 60 feet. Lower to the belay. Bauer variation: Step left before the slab and into a dirty crack. (Harder but safer) A short rappel will get you to the ground.
