Description Suggest change

This mixed route was put in ground-up, on-sight style by Alden Pellett and Bert Severin during a Smuggs Ice Bash when conditions on the lower part of the face allowed for marginal ice protection up to good trad gear higher up. The route was later retro-bolted by a party without consulting the first ascensionists.

Location Suggest change

On the face just left of ENT Gully. Connects a series of horizontal and angled cracks through an overhang to the top.

The route name, derived from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium characters, the Olog-hai, are an advanced breed of half-trolls covered in spiky scales seen on the mountain borders of Mordor in the War of the Rings.

Protection Suggest change

Later retro-bolted.
