Description Suggest change

The trad portion is a 15' 5.9 finger crack. The sport section contains the 5.11 climbing.

This is the first route established on Gretel's Rock. "A plum line" -KM

Spot the first bolt about 20 feet up. Climb the crack to the left (5.9) on finger-sized cams until you are just below the bolt to your right. Extend your placements, and traverse up and right to the first bolt. The rest of the route is bolted. Rest here before you traverse further right and up over the bulge (crux) in the rock. Continue up through balancy moves to a ledge, then move left and up to the anchors.

Location Suggest change

Ponderosa is located on the Southeast corner of the rock. Find the comfortable belay area underneath the massive ponderosa trees. The route starts in the vertical crack on the left.

Protection Suggest change

5 bolts and a handful of cams from 0.3 to 0.75 (bring 4-6 cams your first time, though it can be done with fewer).
