Description
This route climbs a nice face and arête immediately right of the starting chimney of Cougar Buttress.
Begin by climbing up a scruffy intermittent crack to a high first bolt, alternating between good holds and bad. Tackle a thin crux reaching right to a large hanging crack feature on the arête and the steepest section of the climb, fortunately with great holds. Up this, then move right around the corner and follow an easy face past well-spaced bolts to a bolted anchor.
This is a fun climb, just a bit crumbly. It will improve with traffic.
Location
Begin about 25' right of the Cougar Buttress chimney/alcove on the eroding and slippery slope beneath a line of bolts that lead up towards the arête above.
Protection
8x bolts to a bolted anchor (two Metolius Rap Hangers). I left a quicklink and carabiner on one of the hangers to improve the anchor - please don't take this carabiner unless you're replacing it with something more permanent. The other hanger could use its own quicklink and 'biner/ring/mussy as well.
