Description Suggest change

This was the first route to climb to the top of Big Marmot Rock(AKA Marmot Rock).

Start at the southwest corner of the rock and climb up a narrow chimney between Big Marmot Rock and Little Marmot Rock for about 20-30' to reach the junction of the southwest corner of the Big Marmot Rock. Traverse up and right past five bolts then scramble directly up to the summit.

Location Suggest change

Follow the approach which starts where the Moses Spring Trail encounters the east side of the Monolith. Head up angling left to skirt the bottom of a huge rocky slab/buttress. Look for the path of least resistance to avoid any fifth class climbing or bushwhacking.

Protection Suggest change

Five bolts plus medium to large cams for the chimney. Bring slings to reduce rope drag. Two bolt anchor with chains for rappel.
