Description Suggest change

This is the traditional downclimb from the summit of The Box, but it also serves as a fun scramble to a great summit.

From the starting ledge (see "Location"), traverse past some very large loose flakes (10,000 lbs+) over to the center of the East Face on that very good ledge (all 3rd Class so far), and find an OW crack splitting the face (5.4, so-so) or continue further to the South side of that east face and climb up a 5.1 slab to the top of the rock. Enjoy the summit, then reverse the entire course.

Location Suggest change

From an obvious ledge halfway up the North face, step up onto the rock. Above lies good rock, below a jumble of junk. Turn the corner onto the East Face, and find this line.

Protection Suggest change

A standard rack, but not much will go in.
