Access Issue: Don't climb on wet rock!

Attention:
Don't climb on wet rock! Sandstone is a porous rock type that can absorb a lot of water. It can lose up to 75% of its strength while wet, making it easy to snap off holds and irreparably damage classic climbs. Wait 48 to 72hrs after precipitation. If the ground is still damp then the rock is still wet. A great way to check for precipitation history before traveling to Joe's is to go to this site-

and under "Data Charts" click the "Precipitation" tab. Make sure the surface wetness is 0 before climbing.

Description
New roadside bloc. It's a one-mover but the holds are cool. Crux is leaving the giant ledge getting to good topout holds. Have a spot if doing the dynamic beta, static way feels easier but less cool.
Location
This is roadside, less than a 1/4 mile past the Mine Cart area and 50 yards before the Mile 8 / Dead Sea parking when driving up the canyon. Park at 8 mile, then its easiest to hike the road 20 yards past Everest to a short scramble up by some bushes.
Boulder location: 39.2748, -111.2127;
As of spring of 2026, there's now a well marked approach trail ~25 ft east of the boulder itself.
