Access Issue: NO DRONES ON NATIONAL PARKLANDS
Details
All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.
Description
A hidden gem! Sustained face climbing on classic NRG brainy rock. This route is not your typical NRG face climb as it's pumpy the entire way through with only a few comfortable rest stances.
Highstep and heel hook your way up a series of really cool directional holds until the route forces you right on crimps. The crux involves a very heady committing move to a sloping pocket jug out right. Clip once you have this pocket, shake out and tackle the sustained cryptic headwall. The route is a bit licheny at the top and is almost completely chalkless.
