ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Description
Golden Goose is yet another fantastic addition to the Kangaroo. It’s long, varied, and rivals any of the best 5.13s in the main park.
Begin on the large flake boulder and start up low angle terrain to the first bolt. The next 5 bolts are thin and technical while blending sidepulls, gastons, crimps, pockets, thumbderclings, and very disappointing footholds. Regain your composure over the next few spacey bolts of good holds.
The rock changes character towards the top and becomes smooth and smeary. Sprint your way up resistant 5.12 climbing to the anchor resting where you can! Awesome!
