The Hooker Party

AI3-4 M2-3 PG13, Mixed, Ice, Alpine, 200 ft (61 m), 2 pitches, Grade II,  Avg: 3 from 1 vote
FA: FKA Jim Clarke solo 5/25/20
Utah > Wasatch Range > Wasatch Alpine… > American Fork Twins

Description

Far around the corner from The Rookie Party, high up on the NW Face below saddle with Red Top lies The Hooker Party. Possibly climbed before but found during an unusual end of May extended freeze/thaw cycle. Multiple variations for linking ledges & thin flows with a few steeper columns all the way to the ridge. Good Springtime ice "hooks" with some spicy moves on fragile ice...just remember, Hooker Parties are always more fun than Rookie Parties.

Location

Around rib from Pipeline up on NW face of AF Twins.

Protection

Maybe some stubbies and a pin or two
