Description Suggest change

A shady route for most of the day (late afternoon sun). This line of bolts can be climbed in two distinct variations.  If you stay on the arete the entire time and avoid using the Carrot, it's called Big Johnston's Arete and goes at 10b.  Expect some fun arete climbing and a crimp move with a long, balancey reach at the crux. Finish at the chains of Jackhammer.

If you choose the line of least resistance and move left onto the Carrot to avoid the 10b crux, it's called The Brain of K.  This variation goes at 8+ or 9- using chert nodules on the black face of the Carrot.  After the crux you move back onto the arete and then again back over to the Carrot to finish at the chains of Jackhammer.

"You, you've been taught
We'd been the same, now they got you in line
Stand behind the stripes
There will be order, so give it a good mind"
