Description Suggest change

A girdle traverse of The Squid.  Begin in the man-eating offwidth on the right side of The Squid.  Grovel your way up and onto the Squid's shoulder.  Big cams for pro.  On the shoulder place a directional before you start the traverse, about 2/3 of the way up the face.  Head left just below the headwall.

Place gear so as to minimize rope drag and protect the second.  Build a hanging belay just before the route turns the corner at the ledge.

Follow the ledge to a shallow right-facing corner.  Climb the corner and anchor off of trees on the top.  You are Magellan.

Location Suggest change

South face of The Squid.

Protection Suggest change

Standard rack with big cams.
