Description
A TR route just left of Mr. Ice Cream that’s cleaner than it looks and actually quite fun! The downside is that it’s got a few holds that aren’t long for this world. Climb up to a wedged block and mantel up to the next shelf, or, do a thuggy hand traverse left to gain a flake. Layback to the next ledge, and make a few tricky moves on slopers to get established on the ledge. Awesome pump climbing on flakes (be mindful a few are poorly bonded) leads to a stance below the final headwall. Grab a decent sidepull, set your feet, and pop to the top. A classic overhang to flat transition on slopers brings you to the beautiful tree ledge above.
Protection
TR from a big tree up high. Getting here is the hard part. You can lead Mr. Ice Cream (dirty but decently protected 5.9) or walk around to the left through the woods. As of now there is no fixed tat. Belaying from above may be nice with rope drag, and keeps your belayer out of the way should you dislodge a rock.
